Ingredients
  

For the Donuts:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup apple cider room temperature
  • 1 large egg room temperature

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat & Prep – Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a donut baking pan.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients – In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Then, whisk in the sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in the apple cider and egg until well combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  • Combine & Fill – Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth. Scoop or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold halfway.
  • Bake – Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a donut comes out clean.
  • Prepare the Topping – While the donuts bake, melt the butter in a bowl. In another bowl, mix together the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • Coat the Donuts – Once baked, let the donuts cool for a couple of minutes before removing them from the pan. Dip each donut in the melted butter, then coat generously in the sugar mixture.
