½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted 5 tbsp unsalted butter melted 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk 1 tsp vanilla extract ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1¼ cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 egg yolk ½ cup all-purpose flour ⅓ cup chocolate chips or chocolate chunks for extra gooeyness White chocolate chips melted (for decoration)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Melt the butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
Add cream and chocolate: Stir in the heavy cream and ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth. Microwave an additional 15 seconds if needed.
Build the chocolate base: Mix in the vanilla extract and cocoa powder until fully combined.
Add sugar and eggs: Stir in the granulated sugar, followed by the egg and egg yolk, mixing until smooth and glossy.
Fold in flour: Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
Add chocolate chunks: Fold in the remaining chocolate chips or chunks.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is set but the center is still soft.
Cool slightly: Let the brownies cool for at least 15 minutes.
Slice and decorate: Slice into 6–8 football shapes. Pipe melted white chocolate using a piping bag to create the football laces.
