Ingredients

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup chocolate chips or chocolate chunks for extra gooeyness
  • White chocolate chips melted (for decoration)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
  • Add cream and chocolate: Stir in the heavy cream and ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth. Microwave an additional 15 seconds if needed.
  • Build the chocolate base: Mix in the vanilla extract and cocoa powder until fully combined.
  • Add sugar and eggs: Stir in the granulated sugar, followed by the egg and egg yolk, mixing until smooth and glossy.
  • Fold in flour: Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  • Add chocolate chunks: Fold in the remaining chocolate chips or chunks.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is set but the center is still soft.
  • Cool slightly: Let the brownies cool for at least 15 minutes.
  • Slice and decorate: Slice into 6–8 football shapes. Pipe melted white chocolate using a piping bag to create the football laces.
