Ingredients
  

For the Pistachio Layer

  • 2 boxes instant Jell-O Pistachio Pudding
  • Cold milk follow your box instructions

For the Cake Layer

For the Cream Layer

  • Whipped cream store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Garnish

  • Crushed pistachios
  • Extra whipped cream for piping
  • A drizzle of honey or caramel optional

Instructions
 

Bake the Vanilla Cake

  • Prepare the cake according to the recipe, let it cool completely, and then cut it into small cubes. A fully cooled cake ensures clean layers.

Prepare the Pistachio Pudding

  • Whisk the pudding mixes with cold milk until thickened. Let it rest for a few minutes

Prepare the whipped cream if making it:

  • Add cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla to a mixing bowl.
  • Beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium-high speed until soft to medium peaks form.
  • Do not overmix, stop once the whipped cream looks smooth, fluffy, and scoopable.

Assemble Your Pistachio Trifle

  • Layer in a clear trifle bowl:
  • Vanilla cake cubes
  • Pistachio pudding
  • Whipped cream
  • Repeat until your dish is full.

Add the Garnish

  • Top with a final layer of whipped cream and crushed pistachios.
  • Chill Before Serving
  • Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours, or overnight for best results. Chilling helps the flavors blend and gives the pistachio trifle its signature creamy texture.
