We usually place the eggs in a saucepan, cover them with cold water, bring the water to a boil, then immediately remove the pan from the heat, cover it, and let it sit for about 10-12 minutes. After that, we immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. This makes them easy to peel and prevents that dreaded green ring. For easy peeling, try cracking the shell all over before submerging them in the ice bath. This allows the water to seep in between the egg and the shell, making it slide right off.
