Ingredients

  • 6 cinnamon raisin bagels
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

Step 1: Prep & Melt the Butter

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven. Once melted, remove the dish and set it aside.

Step 2: Mix the Egg Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk until smooth and well combined.

Step 3: Assemble the Bake

  • Pour the egg mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish. Cut the cinnamon raisin bagels into chunks and gently press them into the liquid to soak up all that delicious flavor.

Step 4: Bake to Perfection

  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. You can also drizzle maple syrup, add fresh fruit, or top it with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence!

Notes

Pro Tips for the Best French Toast Bake

  • Use Day-Old Bagels – Slightly stale bagels soak up the custard mixture better, giving you the perfect texture.
  • Let It Sit Before Baking – If you have time, let the bagels soak in the egg mixture for 10–15 minutes before baking for extra flavor absorption.
  • Make It Dairy-Free – Swap whole milk for almond or oat milk and use dairy-free butter.
